The Foundation of KV CWS Jayant was kept in September 1987, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Prakash Nandan(CGM CWS Jayant) & Principal Mr. H.N.Rai in a small building. The School started with only five classes(I-V) with all new admission cases and team of only six worthy teachers. After the First CBSE Examination the senior secondary began with Science and Humanities Stream. Then with a great demand of the local parents the commerce stream too started in the year 2003. In the year 2009 five additional sections have been opened in the primary wing with a great demand of the local NCL employees. This Vidyalaya is offering its services to the society in a peaceful atmosphere and is making progress in every field.
The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four - fold mission, viz.,
1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Concil of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of \"Indianness\" among children.
